Through someone stumbling across this blog, I was informed about this resource for pastors and teachers in churches. Wing Clips is a web-site where movie clips can be downloaded for use in sermons and lessons. These folks have worked for several years, planning and meeting with various Hollywood studios to secure the legal rights to do this. One of their primary goals is to help all pastors more effectively connect their messages with their congregations.There are new movies, such as Lars and the Real Girl, I am Legend, The Bucket List and Elizabeth: the Golden Age, as well as older movies. All clips are categorized thematically and vary in length from 1-4 minutes.
The medium-resolution subscription is free to people using this in a church setting. The high resolution subscription has a nominal fee. If you are teaching or preaching and are interested in using movie clips, this might be worth checking out. You can see what they are doing at http://www.wingclips.com/.
