Mosaic Movie Group Shows Blade Runner

For the fifth and final movie of the Mosaic Movie Connect Group spring season, we showed Blade Runner (Final Cut). The few, the proud, the faithful showed up and enjoyed digging into this cult classic. The movie is replete with biblical references and asks the philosophical and theological question, what makes a human a human? We delved deeply into the meat of this film before wrapping up. Check out the blog on Tuesday this week for my full review. Coming up, too, are reviews of Lars and the Real Girl and Before the Devil Knows You're Dead.

Over the summer we plan to do things a little differently. For June, we are planning to go see Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull at a local theater, maybe a matinée. We'll still provide child care, and have discussion; details will follow via email. Stay tuned and stay in touch.

Here are photos of two people who made this happen. Ryan put a huge amount of effort into getting the A/V set up and working month in and month out, as well as leading us through the elements of story. And Sharon was our popcorn and bagel lady. (Patrick just happened to be in the right place at the right time to make it onto this blog.) A huge thank you to everyone who participated and made this season so rewarding for all.
